Introduction

The models and images created with GIG are stored by project in a directory tree. GIG's graphical ProjectManager makes it possible to delete, copy, and move models and/or images within or between projects. GIG's ProjectManager can be selected from the tools menu after double clicking on ProjectManager or started up from a UNIX shell with the command `startProjectManager'.

The Graphical Interface
GIG's Project manager consists of four parts. The left side contains source related subjects and the right side contains destination related subjects. The middle consists of operation selection and the GIG data selection.

Example

Moving files
If you want to move a still from the current directory to the directory TMP. Select in the destination part change project. Select from the list box that pops up TMP or type TMP in the selection part. Press confirm. The label of the destination project is now TMP. Select from the data list GIG still. Now the two listboxes show the still of both projects. Select the still you want to move from the source listbox. Press move. A dialogue box pops up. Press confirm. Now one by one the still files are moved from the source project to the destination project.
