Usage
Click the make grid button to activate it. In the status area the following prompt will appear:
grid width ?
In response to this prompt type in the required width for the grid when it is placed inside the window (default: 10). The following prompt will appear:
grid x unit ?
In response to this prompt enter the required width for one unit in the x direction of the grid (default: 0.5) or press <enter>. Next the prompts for the y and the z grid units will appear. In response to these prompts, enter the required width for one unit in the directions of the grid or press <enter>.
Comments
When one of the toggle buttons use x grid, use y grid, or use z grid is active, the grid will be redrawn on the screen in the new layout; otherwise nothing will be visible until one of those toggle buttons is selected.
The grid layout is generated in relation to the window on the screen. The grid width value is used to divide the window width into (a grid width number of) portions. The unit values are then used to generate a (grid width divided by grid unit) number of points on the screen in the respective windows (default 20 points).
