Purpose
To save the currently active part of the tree to the GIG export (polygonal) format, allowing it to be converted to other model formats (e.g., dxf format).
Usage
First activate the part of the tree to be exported.
Click the export active button to activate it. The selection submenu will be displayed where you can make your selection.
Because the gig output format stores polygons only, the part will be evaluated just as if you had
pressed the evaluate button first.
The evaluated, active part of the tree will be saved to disk in the export format.
Comments
Polygonal objects (e.g., imported using get dxf) can also be exported.
Parts of the model that cannot be evaluated (except for polygonal objects) will not be exported.
After exporting the model, it can then be converted to another model format (e.g., dxf).
